People said that Michael
Jordan defies the law of gravity; they said that he had this special talent,
but did he have this talent his whole life from the beginning? In fact no,
Michael had to earn his talent to be a success. Michael lives with a competitive
family, his Father James Jordan, his mother Deloris Jordan, His older brother
Larry Jordan and his sister Rosalyn Jordan. Michael’s father used to tell him
that if he wants to win he should earn it. Michael started to play baseball and
his father used to like that sport a lot. But one day, his parent’s brought for
Michael and his siblings two Baskets to play basketball. Michael started to
play against his older brother, and used to lose against him. But his brother
would never let him win because he had to earn his victory. So Michael started
to play basketball more often and practiced more till he was as good as his
brother. In high school Michael and Larry tried out for JV basketball, and
Michael did not make it. He was really mad that he didn’t make the team, but he
realized that he should practice more and start focusing on Basketball. When he
tried out again for the team, Michael has been put in JV jr. team, Michael did
not understood why this happened, but the coach realized that Michael was a
really good Basketball player and had put in him in jr team because he wanted him to help the other
players get better. After a while Michael has become a really good player after
his practice and suddenly became taller than his brother, Michael has even been
practicing with JV and jr JV basketball teams. Other people started to offer
him to go to other schools for him to play basketball. After High school,
Michael had to go to college and a lot of colleges were offering him to come
because he was a great athlete. After he picked to go to UNC because they had
students that are now in the NBA because of this school , he started
practically live in their basketball court, he used to practice from morning to
night. But Michael was to in to this that he started skipping classes to go
play basketball, his parents talked him and told education was first and he
agreed. So now Michael started to study well and have some time to play
basketball. After college, Michael has improved a lot since the beginning and
now a lot of people wanted to be his manager and now he has become a basketball
legend in the NBA. This book shows you that if you practice and you never give
up, you can do great things.
